POCO has always been my favorite band. I actually got to meet Rusty in the dinner line at a casino where they were to perform that night. He was gracious, funny and human. I saw the band many times while growing up in Southern California, they were always spot on great! Amazing catalog of music that will last forever. You will be missed.

One of the best concerts ever was Poco at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in the mid Seventies. Towards the end of the show every single person in the auditorium was standing & jumping up and down on their seat. You could actually feel the building "rock" with the intense energy. At one point Rusty even picked up his chair and used one of its legs to play his pedal steel. I have been following Poco from the beginning and saw them with Canned Heat when they were called "Pogo". I've seen many Poco shows through out the years and of course Rusty was always the constant. No matter which version I saw, Poco always sounded fantastic. The music world has lost another giant. RIP Rusty. My thoughts and prayers to all.

I saw Poco perform twice in Kansas City and once in San Francisco. After the latter, at the legendary Fillmore, I mentioned to Rusty that I'd been to those concerts and we ended up having a conversation. Meeting him, Jack, and Paul and Richie briefly made my entire year. Like all of you, I'm going to miss Rusty, but I'll always be grateful that he kept the legend alive.

Rusty, Thank you for keeping the music alive for 50 years. You've been an inspiration and a continuous part of my musical journey. From the first time I saw Poco al the Fillmore East to being at the Springfield show when George had his stroke and beyond, I've sang, danced, smiled and felt the great vibes of Poco rhythms, words and message. Your legacy and mark on the music of American southern rock will forever be remembered and cherished around the world. RIP Rusty Young!!

Rusty's vocals on Spellbound, the Legend album, and his pedal steel playing on Magnolia, Crazy Eyes album, I will never get tired of hearing them. RIP, Rusty.

So sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. A few years back, my wife and I saw Poco at a small high school theater. I was able to sit in the front row so I could watch Rusty play the Steel up close, which was an unforgettable experience. I will always remember the joy he showed playing his music. I was fortunate to meet him after the show. He was a genuine soul, and I could tell he really wanted to connect with everyone he met. After a few minutes, he signed a CD for me, and reached out to shake my hand. He will be greatly missed....but will live on in my memories of that show...."Where Did The Time Go"...

I already wrote my condolences, but wanted to add this. I once said to Rusty, “Why would you play Pickin Up the Pieces” while I was in the bathroom?” He said, “We always play “Pickin Up the Pieces” when you’re in the bathroom!” Hahaha. So funny, friendly, and sweet. And, Mary once sold me her own Poco Coozie because they were sold out. Have enjoyed many Poco shows, including the On The Blues Cruise before this wretched virus took over the world. Was looking forward to many more, but thanks so much for the music and also for being such a great guy!

So sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. POCO was always one of my favorite bands. Fan since the beginning. Got to see them twice live, once in the 70's, once in the 90's. Great band. Rusty, God speed man, we'll miss you!
