Why did you leave us? Rusty you were a ray of sunshine. You were my pedal steel hero. You were starlight and decency. Love and joy. Poco was always one of my favorite bands and you were the reason. I will miss you and honor your legacy of giving and caring. I hope you will be playing when I leave this earthly plane and hopefully I get to heaven to see you again.

Rest In Peace, Brother Rusty. Thanks for leaving us your music to play and your music in our hearts. May your family be comforted by the musical family and friends left behind. Love you.

RIP Rusty - will be listening to POCO all day (and probably crying a little bit) remembering all the POCO concerts I went to since the early 70s. Godspeed and condolences to your family

Was there from Buffalo Springfield׳s Kind Woman with Rusty and Poco from the beginning and all the way. Loved seeing Rusty come chat with audience before show at Sellersville outside Philly in past ten years. And meeting Mary at the mercy table

Can’t count the number of times the steel break on Bad Weather got me thru depression.

So grateful for Rusty’s legacy. So sad about his sudden passing. Condolences to his family. Thanks for sharing him with us.

Such sad news have a rest Rusty your hands of gold worked magic in the musical world I can't tell you how many times my friends and i saw Poco , during high school and after at small mountain venues here in Colo, and the Regis College field house and we're just taken away when you played bad weather and Indian summer.
A HUGE loss to music and the soaring sounds of Steel.
My thoughts are with your family.

So sad to hear of Rusty's passing. Thinking of you all at this time. POCO have been so much a part of my life since the seventies. Recently I put together a blog for the library I work with on Indian Summer. Your music brings so much joy. Rest in peace Rusty

Devastated by the news. The pure joy Rusty showed at each concert I attended was contagious. My favorite musician who was so lovely to us each time at the meet and greets. Roll on Rusty. Thank you for the music.
