So sorry to hear of Rustys passing. Rusty and my dad go back many years as my dad was a rep of ZB steel guitars and dealt with Rusty. Their friendship continued through the years. When my father passed Rusty took the time to send his condolences which was much appreciated. I have many memories of Rusty that I will always cherish. My father spoke very highly of Rusty.
Rest In Peace Rusty

Sending love to Mary, Sara, Hallie, current and former band members, and the entire Poco family. We have lost a Legend.... Rusty was one of a kind; pioneer, virtuoso player of string instruments, kind, caring and giving. Rest in peace my friend.

With great shock and sadness I just read that Rusty Young has passed away. I will always remember meeting him briefly during a tour of Poco in the Netherlands. During the support act for the second concert, he suddenly joined us in the hall. "Nice to see you again," he said. He probably recognized us because of our 12 year old son who was there both times, not the average audience of this great band.
Rusty, thank you for all the beautiful music you have given us and will continue to give. You are and will always be the best steel guitarist ever. Much strength to Mary and other relatives.

RIP. Rusty Young. I saw Poco twice at the Tulsa Fairgrounds Pavilion in the 70s They were great to say the least. Rusty Young was awesome with all the different sounds he could get out of his lap or pedal steel, then he could get this great Hammond B-3 sound. Paul Cotton played a Gretch White Falcon a lot. I’m pretty sure the last time I saw them was right before TBS joined The Eagles. I was and still am a big Poco fan. There’s a guy I barely knew years ago in Tulsa named Richard Neville. He wound up playing bass with Poco for many years. I’m impressed to say the least. I hope Rusty Young is in heaven right now gearing up for a new band with Gram Parsons

My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Rusty and Poco with Jim Messina at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ in March of 2019. It was our first Poco concert after listening, enjoying and gleefully singing Rusty’s hits in the shower for 40 years. I listen to Rusty’s music almost every day on Spotify. He has touched so many hearts, he will be missed.

I just got home from Bible study and turned on the news to hear of Rusty's passing. My condolences to Mary and the rest of the family, the musicians that played with, knew, and loved Rusty! Finally to my fellow fans, Poco Nuts (sigh) who appreciated what these young men created. Catching and harnessing the vision even though success was so elusive! God Bless everyone whose heart was touched by Rusty and the music and vision of Poco! Our prayers are with you tonight and always...
